A Typical Service
Our people. Freedom House Church is multi-cultural and multi-generational. You'll see people of every color filling the seats, besides men and women of every age.
Our dress code. There isn't one! Some people dress up in their "Sunday best." Others dress business casual. Most wear jeans.
Inside. There are two main entrances. The front entrance is for general entry; the back entrance is especially for attenders with small children. There are plenty of people to help you find your way, as well as directional signs to point you to FHCKids Check-in, the main auditorium, and the restrooms.
The Welcome Center is at the front entrance. There you'll find helpful information about Freedom House Church. There is also a spot outside the auditorium where you can pour yourself a hot cup of coffee.
The FHCKids Welcome Center is at the family entrance. There, both first-time guests and regular attenders can check in their children (ages 0-12) in one of our five age-appropriate classrooms.
The service. Each service lasts 75 minutes. We kick things off with live music--generally three songs. During this time most people stand, and many lift their hands. The lyrics will be displayed on two screens at the left and right of the stage if you'd like to sing along.
During the third song our leaders are available to pray with you. If you have any needs or concerns for yourself or others, feel free to come forward for prayer.
After this we'll say hello to one another and have a seat. Our pastors will welcome everyone and share a few items of interest. First-time guests will be asked to raise their hands so the ushers can hand them a Welcome Packet. If you're not comfortable raising your hand, feel free to pick up a Welcome Packet from one of our ushers, or stop by the Welcome Center.
Next the church will receive tithes and offerings. While we prepare to give, church news will be shown on the two screens.
Afterwards we'll enjoy one more song before Pastor Troy Maxwell shares the message. Pastor Troy will dismiss the service after this. Sometimes we'll have an altar call, but this doesn't happen every Sunday.
